The different types of cement grades which are available with the eminent cement suppliers across the globe includes the following
·         The 33 grade of OPC: It is the one which is used for the normal grade of the concrete around M-20 for the purposes of grouting of the cable ducts in the PSC works, for the flooring work, plastering work and others. The fineness between them must be 225 and 280.
·         The 43 Grade of OPC: This grade of cement is the one which is used widely as the general cement. For the concrete grades up to the M-30 and for pre casting elements. They are also the ones which are used largely for the marine structures but the C3A must lie between the 5 or 8 per cent.
·         The 53 grade of the OPC: For the purpose of concrete grade which is higher than the M- 30, the PSC works for the multi storied buildings, the roads, bridges and other works. One can use it in for the cold weather of concreting. For the marine structures the C3A must be between the 5 or 8 per cent.
·         Portland Slag cement: This type of cement is basically the OPC and Granulated slag cement which gives the lower level of heating hydration. The slag must be more than the 50 per cent and under 7- per cent. It must be used for the off shore and marine structures which are sulphate resistant and consist of high chloride content. It can also be used for the sewage and disposal works of treatment, for the plants of water treatments and can also be used for the constructions that are expected for the attacks and get dissolved by the sulphate ions or chlorides.
